AUDIT & RISK DEPARTMENT

The Department strives to provide high quality governance, risk and control services aiding towards operational efficiency and ultimately the effective achievement of the mission of the Agency.
The department is responsible executing the following Internal Audit and Risk Management functions at the Agency:-

Internal Audit

  1. Provision of independent,objective and value adding reviews of the Agency’s governance, risk and internal control systems to management and the Board;
  2. Conducting compliance, financial, operational, systems,test of controls and investigative audit reviews and timely reporting on findings and recommendations;
  3. Ensuring compliance of the Agency’s corporate governance systems and structures to the relevant regulatory framework;
  4. Providing internal consultancy/advisory services to management and the Board and
  5. Liaison or interfacing with the External Audit

 

Risk Management

  1. Leading in the identification of existing and emerging risk issues affecting  the operations of the Agency;
  2. Assisting management in determining the levels of risk tolerance and the nature and extent of significant risks management is  willing to embrace in achieving its strategic objectives;
  3. Leading in the formulation, implementing and reviewing of the Agency's risk management policy and plan;and
  4. Assisting in the integration of the Agency’s risk policy and plan into the day to day activities.
