A Waste Management Indaba was held on the 28th of February 2018 with various players in the Waste Managemnet sector, including Local Authorities, Academia, Government representatives, recyclers and the civic society, among others. It was agreed that stakeholder participation was key in achieving a clean environment. The Indaba further resolved that the Intergrated Solid Waste Management Plan should be implemented.
